3 Levels of Country – Honky Tonk Central
A trip to Nashville isn’t complete without a visit to a country bar. Participants made a visit to Honky Tonk Central, one of Nashville’s most lively bars! This bar is located on Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville. What makes this destination special is that they have three floors featuring live country music! On top of an amazing atmosphere, they also offer delicious food and cocktails.
The Home of Legends – Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge
Participants took a journey to an iconic Nashville location, which has been a favorite amongst musicians and features celebrity memorabilia throughout. Just steps away from the historic Ryman Auditorium, the world-famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge has hosted legends for decades. Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, and Kris Kristofferson are just a few of the celebrities who frequented Tootsie’s. Scavenger hunt participants were challenged to take a photo with their favorite piece of memorabilia.
Home of the Predators – Bridgestone Arena
For the next stop, participants visited the Bridgestone Arena, which is home to the Nashville Predators NHL team. This arena can seat up to 20,000 people and is used for many different sporting events, concerts, and more. The challenge at this stop was to take a photo of team members posing as though they were ready for face-off on the ice.
Legendary Photo – Legends Corner
Taking pictures with the murals of country legends at Legends Corner! Participants were challenged to find this bar that has been a popular music venue in Nashville since 1997. This vibrant country bar is the place to be if you’re looking to hit the dance floor. They also feature live country music every night of the week! They host up-and-coming artists as well as some of the biggest country artists in the world like Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, and Toby Keith.
Ryman Auditorium – Icon Walk
At this stop, participants made a visit to the Ryman Auditorium which is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark and a National Historic Landmark. Originally the Union Gospel Tabernacle, the Ryman Auditorium is one of the most iconic music venues in the world. The Ryman has played a pivotal role in popularizing country music and has hosted a variety of legendary rock & roll artists over the decades. Outside of the auditorium is the Icon Walk, where you will find statues of music legends. The challenge at this stop was to take a photo of team members posing with one of these statues. This group chose to pose with a life-size statue of country music legend Little Jimmy Dickens, who got his name because he is only 4’8.
