For this stop, teams made their way to Powell’s City of Books in Portland. Powell’s City of Books is the largest used and new bookstore in the world, occupying an entire city block! Established in 1971, Powell’s has become a landmark in the literary world, housing approximately one million books across its sprawling complex. The challenge for participants was to explore this massive library and search for the oldest-looking and newest-looking books they could find.
