Inner Harbor Water Wheel – “Mr. Trash Wheel”

Participants strolled along Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and were challenged to locate a true pioneer when it comes to environmental cleanup. The Inner Harbour Water Wheel has been personified into a character locals refer to as “Mr. Trash Wheel.” Mr. Trash Wheel was constructed in 2008 and has become somewhat of a local celebrity. It is a trash interceptor that rakes up trash from the water in Jones River which feeds into the Inner Harbor. Once the trash is out of the river it’s taken to landfill for proper disposal rather than making its way into the harbor. Participants were challenged to take a photo imitating Mr. Trash Wheels’ googly eyes.
