Follow the Yellow Brick Road – Repentance Park

Repentance Park is a green space on the Mississippi River in downtown Baton Rouge. Repentance Park was originally called Repentance Street during the Spanish rule from 1779 to 1819. It got its name because convicted criminals would have to walk this road to receive their sentence at the Old State Capitol. Today, it is a space for locals to come together and enjoy the outdoors. In this park, you will find beautiful fountains, perfectly maintained plants and trees, statues, and plenty of walkways. Participants had a movie-based photo op challenge at this stop. They had to take a photo of team members skipping along one of the many beautiful park walkways as though they were following the yellow brick road in The Wizard of Oz.
