You and your team can feel the HEAT of Miami in this awesome scavenger hunt! Downtown is buzzing with so many things to do. From the Miami Heat basketball games and concerts in the American Airlines Arena, to historic buildings and works of art at the Miami Riverwalk. There is something for everyone in Downtown Miami!
Miami Beach
This awesome scavenger hunt will show your team a tropical paradise full of history, art, and a wild nightlife. Whether you want to see beautiful architecture from the 1930’s and the 1940’s, modern art, escape to North Beach for some relaxation, or “party in the city where the heat is on”, Miami Beach has you covered from North to South!
Wynwood
Explore the “Museum of the Streets” and some of the world’s best Urban Graffiti art as well as the many art galleries all throughout Wynwood. The entire town is one big canvas for street artists from all over. This vibrant team building scavenger hunt will bring out your inner artist!
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science – Mad Scientists
For this stop, participants made their way to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. The museum is 250,000 square feet and is made up of 4 different buildings. The museum features an aquarium, a planetarium, and much more! When teams made it to the building, they had to take a photo of themselves conducting their own science experiment. This team chose to do an “evaporation” experiment in the Miami heat.
Miami River Walk – King of the World!
For this stop, teams ventured to the scenic Miami Riverwalk. While strolling and taking in the beautiful scenery, contestants had to keep their eye out for the perfect photo op location. The challenge was to capture a photo of at least two teammates reenacting a scene from the classic film Titanic. This made for a fun and memorable team photo.
Sculpture Gardens – The Dogs and Cats Walkway
Teams visited the Dogs and Cats Walkway and Sculpture Gardens, a popular attraction that has drawn visitors from around the globe since it opened on February 11, 2023. The challenge was to explore the gardens, find their favorite animal sculpture, and take a picture with their new furry friend.
“Mother of Miami” – Julia Tuttle
For this historical stop, participants ventured to Bayfront Park to find the impressive 10-foot-tall bronze statue of Julia Tuttle, known as the ‘Mother of Miami.’ Teams were challenged to capture a photo of a teammate looking out at the bay alongside the statue, symbolizing the shared vision of a thriving city that Tuttle foresaw in the late 19th century when the area was mostly swampland. This task was about honoring the legacy of a pioneering woman whose foresight and determination helped shape the Miami we know today.
Kaseya Center – Slam Dunks
On the stop, scavenger hunters headed to Kaseya Center, which is the home of the Miami Heat! The challenge was to take a creative basketball-themed photo in front of the arena, showcasing their team spirit and love for the game. Whether it was mimicking a slam dunk, passing the ball, or striking a victory pose, this one was a memorable shot.
South Beach – Sand Angels
It’s not a Miami scavenger hunt without a trip to the beach! For this challenge, teams had to go to one of the many sprawling and beautiful beaches in the South Beach area. Once they got there, they had to take a picture of a team member making not a snow angel, but a sand angel.
Mid-Beach – Sand Castle Contest
Teams took a trip over to Mid-Beach for an epic sandcastle contest. Each team had to try to build the most elaborate sand castle possible. This means including motes, a few towers, a drawbridge, a unique flag, and whatever else their mind could think of. When they finished, the team had to take a photo proudly defending it!
Why Scavenger Hunts?
We’ve explored other team-building possibilities for over 20 years, and we always come back to scavenger hunts. We’ve found them to be the most rewarding, fulfilling and human way for people to connect that’s inclusive.
